At Olympic Print & Design, we have chosen suppliers that have responded to the environmental concerns in the following ways:
• Using paper manufactured from Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) pulp, derived from commercially managed forests
• Receiving accreditation with the International Environmental Management Standard (ISO 14001)
• Investing in Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generation. This reduces the need to import electricity, eliminating the need for mill-based coal burning, thus significantly reducing greenhouse gases and acidifying emissions
• Investing in reduced water use and effluent volume processes. All effluent plant residue is put to productive re-use, thus eliminating the need for landfill disposal
We can also offer you genuine recycled paper ranges as a real alternative. These are approved by NAPM and EUGROPA and contain a minimum 76% recycled material.
