What is Embossing? Embossing uses the same principle as die stamping. A female block is produced which can be in one depth or hand engraved to multiple depths. The material is then pushed into the die using a male counterforce. This process can then be printed litho, foiled or as blind embossed where it just raises the image on the paper.
Embossing is often used on logos, corporate identities or invitations but it can also be used on most stationery such as letterheads, compliment slips and business cards
Embossing is a cost effective way to raise images from the paper either plain or printed and is fully compatible with laser printers. Embossing can also be used in conjunction with other processes such as foiling, thermography or litho.
Olympic Print and Design Specialist Printing Olympic can also provide Foiling, De-bossing and Thermo services in addition to the more traditional litho print services. For more information please contact Olympic Print and Design by phone or using the enquiry form on our website. |
